The Wine Men of Gotham Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 pays tribute to the legendary “Wise Men of Gotham,” whose clever simplicity inspires this modern, fruit-driven South Australian Cabernet. Crafted during a warmer-than-average 2022 vintage, the season produced rich, concentrated grapes with intense colour and varietal purity. Under the expert direction of former Peter Lehmann winemaker Peter Pollard, the wine was shaped with clarity of fruit, refined structure and a strong commitment to quality.

Bursting with blackcurrant, blackberry and ripe cherry, the palate is framed by a gentle touch of vanilla oak that adds warmth without overwhelming the fruit. Smooth, silky tannins glide across the mouth, giving the wine an elegant texture and a long, balanced finish. Its generous fruit core makes it immediately appealing, yet its structure suggests it will continue to evolve beautifully over the next few years, offering further depth and refinement with short-term cellaring.

This Cabernet excels alongside grilled meats, roast lamb, beef Wellington, chargrilled vegetables, hearty stews and hard cheeses such as cheddar or gruyere.
